6 Reasons to Grill Turkey Kebobs All Summer Long

Lighten up:

Get creative with your kebobs and use lighter and leaner turkey products like turkey pepperoni, turkey sausage and turkey kielbasa to add big flavour without adding big calories.

So much to choose from:

Try moist and flavour-packed turkey thighs to make your kebobs. With turkey, both white and dark meat is lean!

Packed with flavour:

Turkey’s deep and rich taste lends itself to a wide variety of flavour profiles. Experiment with sauces, glazes, rubs and marinades to pack your kebobs with flavour and customize to your family’s likes.

Plan ahead:

Plan to make extra kebobs to have a ready-made meal starter on hand. Leftover kebobs and roasted veggies make a hearty base for a salad for lunch or dinner the next day.

For an easy weeknight meal, pre-make your kebobs and freeze them without cooking. Pack them in spice rubs or marinades of your choice. Defrost on the morning you plan to use, then all you need to do for dinner is pop them on the grill and enjoy!

Clean up:

Kebobs are a great way to use up any leftover veggies in the fridge. You can BBQ almost anything as long as you remember to cut your veggies to approximately the same size so they will cook uniformly.

So easy:

Cooking with kebobs will mean very little mess in the kitchen and hardly any clean-up.  Instead of dishes and pans, you may have some skewers left over for the dishwasher or better yet you can use disposable wooden skewers.  These meals-on-a-stick are the perfect way to minimize your time in the kitchen!

Visit your local supermarket or butcher for a variety of 100% Canadian-raised whole turkey and turkey cuts available, including ground turkey, turkey breast, turkey rolls and roasts, turkey thighs and drumsticks, turkey steaks, turkey burgers and turkey sausages.  With so many cuts to choose from, there are unlimited ways that turkey will add sizzle to your table this summer!
