Back in the spring we had some amazing weather and had just received something super exciting in the mail that week – a Smart-Trike Zoo 4-in-1! I was excited to get out with my family and go for a walk down the trail system near us. Part of my excitement over it was due to all the great things I’ve heard from mom friends of mine. The other because I know Keira loves to take in everything when we go for our walks and knew she would love the experience of doing that from the vantage point of the Smart-Trike vs the traditional stroller.
Admittedly, I was so excited that when putting together the Smart-Trike I neglected to fully read the instructions and completely missed that there is a footrest included for the 10+ month stage. Oops! I figured that out only after we got home so my pictures don’t show it.
Once I had the Smart-Trike together it was time for our walk! We got Keira sorted out and sat down on the trike and buckled in. At the 10+ month stage the Smart-Trike features not only the previously mentioned footrest but also a high-backed padded seat, safety harness, safety bar, and brakes. There is also a sun canopy with UV protection as well as a telescopic parent handle which gives parents full control with touch steering.
Keira was absolutely delighted on our walk, chattering and giggling away with tons of happy little squeals. At some point during our walk she discovered the toy phone – something no little Diva wants to be caught without! Since the phone has a holder and is attached by a string there is no worry about it getting lost and no chasing after it constantly as she is in the phase of throwing everything at the moment.
I also appreciate that there is a cup holder at the front of the Smart-Trike so we can easily keep her hydrated on our walks. There is also a nicely sized basket at the back which is perfect for carrying other toys or snacks or even for a jacket in case of weather changes. Best of all though is the parent handle which telescopes easily to a comfortable height for pushing the Smart-Trike and also features a zippered pouch which easily fit my keys, phone, and diaper change essentials.
We also all loved the sun canopy which is completely adjustable and nicely keeps the sun out of Keira’s little face when we are out walking. Keira also thought it was quite fun to pull down right on top of her head and play peak-a-boo with!
The thing I love the most though about the Smart-Trike 4-in-1 is that it grows up with your child, and in fact is intended for children from 10 months to 3 years old! What isn’t there to love about this bike! Overall it is a comfortable and fun ride for infants and toddlers but is also a product that parents will enjoy as well.
