Pineapple Cupcakes
  • - 1 box of cake mix (we used Pineapple Upside Down Cake!)
  • - 2 Eggs
  • - ⅔ Cup of Water
  • - ⅓ Cup of Vegetable Oil
  • - White Icing (we dyed it yellow with food colouring)
  • - Green Twizzlers
  1. - Mix cake mix, water, vegetable oil and eggs according to the cake mix box.
  2. - Spray cupcake pan with cooking spray if you choose not to use cupcake liners. Otherwise, put down cupcake liners first.
  3. - Pour cupcake mix into a measuring cup for easy pouring. Pour the cupcake mix into the cupcake pan, making sure not to fill all the way to the top.
  4. - Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
  5. - Let cupcakes cool.
  6. - While the cupcakes are cooling, cut your green twizzlers in half for the pineapple's stem.
  7. - Scoop the white icing into a large mixing bowl. Add a few drop of yellow dye and mix until you get the desire color of yellow you want! Then, transfer your icing to a ziploc bag or a Wilton icing bag. I used a Wilton Tip 1M to pipe on the frosting on top of the cupcake.
  8. - Frost each cupcake with the yellow icing. On the top of the cupcake, insert 3 cut Twizzlers.
  9. - Enjoy!
