Vegan Double Chocolate Black Bean Brownies

  • 1 15 oz. can black beans rinsed well
  • ½ cup quick oats
  • 1/3 cup agave can substitute maple syrup
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil or coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Additional chocolate chips to place on top


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8x8” pan and set aside.
  • Add all ingredients (except for chocolate chips) in a food processor and blend well. Turn off food processor (remove blade), add ½ cup chocolate chips and stir to incorporate.
  • Pour ingredients into prepared pan. Place additional chocolate chips on top, and bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes. Allow the brownies to cool for a minimum of 10 minutes before cutting.
