Ingredients & Substitutions
Meat – Use lean ground beef for best results, if you use a higher fat content ground then make sure you drain any fat from the pan before adding the sauce. Ground chicken or turkey are good options too!
Sauce – Do not substitute with thousand island dressing, it is not the same as big mac sauce. Use real mayo, not miracle whip.
Toppings – Onions, cheddar cheese and shredded iceberg lettuce.

How to Make Big Mac Tacos
Yields: 6 Servings | Prep time: 15 Minutes | Cook time: 12 Minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 3/4 cup dill pickles, diced and divided
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 cup yellow onions, diced
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup lettuce, shredded
- Taco shells, soft or crunchy
Directions:
In a medium skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, seasoning with salt and pepper.
While the meat cooks, prepare the sauce by mixing mayonnaise, 1/4 cup of pickles, mustard, ketchup, and paprika.
Once the ground beef is fully cooked and no pink remains (Image 1), stir in the sauce until the meat is evenly coated. (Image 2)
Then, assemble the tacos by filling each taco shell with the beef mixture, diced onion, shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, and diced pickles, as desired.
