Hi! I’m Liz, and welcome to LifeLoveLiz
Welcome to Life, Love, Liz! Here, you’ll find all kinds of delicious inspiration – healthy recipes, comforting classics, indulgent desserts, and even fun cocktails to spice up your gatherings.
My love for food began early, baking bread with my grandmother, watching my dad perfect his chili recipe, and helping my mom experiment with new dishes. While I grew up on a traditional English diet of Sunday roasts and hearty meat-and-potatoes meals, my mom often introduced us to exciting new flavors like saffron soup and sweet-and-sour spareribs.
Over the past decade, my culinary journey has expanded even further. My husband is Jamaican, and together we’ve explored the art of cooking authentic Jamaican dishes, which has been both a challenge and a joy.
I’m completely self-taught, learning from my mom, grandmother, and a little creativity in grade 7 home economics (hello, crescent roll hotdogs!). I test every recipe at least once, and many are tried-and-true family favorites. I’m not a chef or a culinary expert—just someone who loves food and sharing it with others.
I live in Thorold, Ontario, with my husband and our two girls. Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, I worked as a successful IT professional, but blogging has allowed me to combine my love of food with the joy of connecting with others.
