Can you make these in the air fryer? If so how? Thank you
Yes, preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F and then put them in for 5-6 minutes.
Is there anyway to make it without nutmeg due to an allergy in my house?
Yes, just omit the nutmeg or substitute with another warming spice.
Can you make these ahead and will they stay crisp.
@Linda, I am winding the same thing myself as I would like to make today and take to work tomorrow for staff treats but I haven’t seen how to store?
@Linda, @Yvonne For making these taquitos ahead, I would prepare as directed but skip baking them. Just cover the baking dish and freeze, then thaw to room temperature before baking for the best results.
If you plan to completely make them ahead, after baking let them cool to room temperature, and store in the fridge in an airtight container. You may want to warm in the microwave or reheat in the oven. Reheating in the oven if possible will help to maintain the proper texture.
