Ingredients for this French Toast Bake
Bread – If you can’t find or make a loaf of chocolate brioche bread then you can use plain brioche bread instead and sprinkle in a cup of chocolate chips.
Eggs – Room temperature eggs are best to get the custard to combine perfectly.
Creamer – We are using vanilla creamer in place of milk here, It really boosts the flavour of the custard. You can, of course, use whole milk instead. This should also be room temperature for best results.
Cream – Heavy cream or whipping cream here, and again, should be room temperature.
Vanilla – You can use pure vanilla extract or artificial vanilla extract.
Cinnamon – A bit of cinnamon helps to season the custard. You can add more or less as you prefer.
Sugar – Brown sugar sweetens the custard. You can substitute with any sweetener you like.
Strawberries – Fresh strawberries are best, but you can use frozen sliced strawberries if you like. Do not allow frozen strawberries to thaw.
