Trix Krispies Recipe
This recipe will yield a pan of 9 x13 spring krispies. This is an adapted recipe that was inspired from a recipe here from Cravings of a Lunatic. I used half the amount of marshmallows and Walmart’s brand of cereal instead of Trix.
Canadians will have to do a little cross border shopping to get either Trix or the Great Value Cereal.
Ingredients:
¼ cup butter
10 ounce bag of mini marshmallows (I used Great Value from Walmart)
10 cups Great Value Fruity Puffs (you can also use Trix cereal but I liked the bright colors in the Walmart brand)
Directions:
Spray Pam (or your favorite vegetable oil spray) to coat a 9 x 13 pan. Set aside.
In a glass bowl, add the butter and marshmallows and microwave for 2-2 ½ minutes or until the marshmallows are melted. Stir halfway through the cooking time with a rubber or silicone spatula.
Add the cereal and stir (with your rubber or silicone spatula) to evenly coat with the marshmallow mixture.
Pour the coated cereal mixture into your greased pan. Using a spoon or spatula, press the mixture down into the pan.
Cut evenly into squares.

There is little in the world that I love more than Rice Krispie squares. This is very fun and I will totally try it with my girls.
