This Watergate Salad is a popular choice for picnics and summer bbq parties. It’s a classic recipe for the whole family to enjoy!
Watergate Salad
INGREDIENTS
1 (4 ounce) box Instant Pistachio Pudding Mix
1 (20 ounce) can Crushed Pineapple, undrained
1 cup Mini Marshmallow
2 cup thawed Whipped Topping (like Cool Whip)
DIRECTIONS
Combine pudding mix and pineapple with juice in a large bowl and mix well.
Add marshmallows and mix until well blended.
Fold in whipped topping.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Place in serving dishes and optionally top with whipped topping and garnish with chopped nuts.

This is a salad/dessert that has been a tradition in Canadian holiday meals for as long as I can remember.

My mother used to make this when I was a kid and we all loved it but I didn't know what it was called.
