How to Store Jerk Shrimp Pasta

If you have made more jerk shrimp pasta than you or your family can eat in one sitting, you can easily store the leftovers for future meals. First, allow the pasta to cool down completely before transferring it into an airtight container.

Place the container in the fridge and make sure to consume within 3-4 days. I do not recommend freezing this pasta dish as it may affect the texture and taste of the sauce.

About the Ingredients for Jerk Shrimp Pasta

Seasoning – You can use the included jerk seasoning blend, or use store brand jerk seasoning.

Pasta – I used penne, but rigatoni or cavatappi would work well too.

Shrimp – You will want to use large or jumbo shrimp. Make sure they are peeled and de-veined to cut down on prep time.

Oil – Use a neutral flavoured oil.

Bell pepper – I used one red and one green bell pepper. This gives the dish more vibrant colour.

Onion – A yellow onion or white onion works here, but red onion could be nice too.

Pineapple – Fresh or canned pineapple chunks. You can also omit if fruit and pasta isn’t your thing.

Garlic – Fresh garlic only.

Heavy cream – Heavy cream will work best for a rich sauce. You could also use half and half, but milk will be a little too thin.

Parmesan – Freshly grated parmesan cheese.
