Slow-Cooker Asian-Style Beef
I recently came across a recipe for Slow-Cooker Asian-Style Beef in the Kraft What’s Cooking Magazine and knew right away I had to try it. There were modifications I wanted to make right from the start and without having made the original, I am pretty certain my version is better. This is so delicious between the yummy sauce, the falling apart beef and the crisp snow peas. Yum!
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 boneless beef roast (2-1/2 lb.), trimmed, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- ¼ cup teriyaki sauce
- 2 red bell peppers, coarsely chopped
- ½ tsp. crushed red pepper
- 4 green onions, sliced
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbs apple cider vinegar
- 3 Tbs soy sauce
- 1 Tbs sesame oil
- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ tsp ginger
- 2 cups snow peas, cut diagonally in half
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- ½ cup Cashews, chopped
- Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat.
- Add meat and garlic; saute for 5 min. until browned.
- Stir in teriyaki sauce, bell peppers, crushed pepper and green onion.
- Pour into slow cooker; cover with lid.
- Cook on LOW 5 to 6 hours (or on HIGH 3 to 4 hours).
- Mix cornstarch, vinegar, soy sauce, oils and ginger until blended.
- Add to slow cooker with snow peas, mushrooms and nuts; stir.
- Cook, uncovered, 10 min. or until slightly thickened.
Slow-Cooker Asian-Style Beef
Chunks of beef get meltingly tender in the slow cooker, simmered in an Asian-inspired sauce.

(Slow-Cooker Asian-Style Beef) This looks really good, will have to make some night this week for the hubby and I. I like Asian food a lot, could eat at least three times a week.
