Virgin Tropical Rum Punch (Non-Alcoholic)

If you want to prepare a virgin version of this delicious rum punch to serve kids and/or non-drinkers you have a few options.

The first option is so simply combine the Tropicana island punch with lemon-lime soda or ginger ale, garnished with a lime slice, for a simple frizzy fruit drink.

The other option is to replace the liquors with flavoured syrups and juices to make a tropical punch.

3 oz Pineapple Juice
3 oz Coconut water
3 oz Coconut syrup
3 oz Orange juice
16 oz Tropicana Island Punch

Combine all in a jug with ice and stir. You may want to add a little lemon-lime soda or club soda to give it a bit of a kid-friendly kick.

Equipment Needed to Make Tropical Rum Punch

For this coconut rum punch we do not need any special equipment, not even a cocktail shaker. All you need is a glass pitcher and a jigger to measure your ingredients.

About the Ingredients for Tropical Rum Punch

This rum cocktail is an alcoholic drink made from a few different kinds of rum, here are the details!

Pineapple Rum – I used Captain Morgan’s Parrot Bay Pineapple Rum, but you can use any pineapple rum you like.

Tropical Rum – I used Bacardi Tropical Rum which is a blend of pineapple, coconut, and guava. If you can’t get your hands on this, you can substitute with half coconut rum and half pineapple rum, or white rum.

Coconut Spiced Rum – I used Blackheart Toasted Coconut Spiced Rum but if you can’t get your hands on that then use half coconut rum (malibu rum is a good choice) and half black spiced rum (I like The Kraken) or other dark rum.

Orange Curaçao – I used De Kuyper Orange Curaçao, but you can use any Orange Curaçao. If you cannot find any you will want to use Triple Sec or Cointreau; do not substitute with Blue Curaçao!

Tropicana Island Punch – This is a blend of pineapple and passion fruit, you can substitute with real pineapple juice and passion fruit juice( or guava juice).

Garnishes – Orange slices, maraschino cherries, a wedge of pineapple, a slice of lemon, pineapple leaves, a twist of citrus peel, kiwi slices etc…

Note: You can easily double or triple this recipe and serve in a punch bowl if serving a crowd!

How to Make Tropical Rum Punch

Yield: 4-8 oz glasses | Prep Time: 4 minutes | Total Time: 4 minutes

Ingredients:

• 3 oz Parrot Bay Pineapple Liquor
• 3 oz Bacardi Tropical Rum
• 3 oz Blackheart Toasted Coconut Spiced Rum
• 3 oz DeKuyper Orange Curaçao
• 16 oz Tropicana Island Punch

Directions:

In a large pitcher add Pineapple Liquor, Tropical Rum , Toasted Coconut Spiced Rum, Orange Liquor, and Tropical Island Punch.
Stir to combine.
Pour into ice filled glasses.
Garnish with fresh fruit and enjoy.
