How to Store Leftover Chick-Fil-A Sauce
Store leftover sauce in an airtight container or mason jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Do not attempt to freeze as the sauce will split when thawed.
Ingredients for Copycat Chick-Fil-A Sauce
Mayonnaise – Use real, full fat mayonnaise for the best flavour. Light mayo works too but it won’t be quite as good. Avoid replacing with dressing as that will alter the flavour.
Honey – You can substitute with any 1:1 liquid sweetener of your choice.
Mustard – Just plain oldd yellow mustard.
BBQ sauce – The kind of kind of barbecue sauce that you use makes all the difference. A sweeter barbecue sauce works best for this recipe – I used Sweet Baby Ray’s original sauce.
Liquid smoke – You can substitute with an equal amount of chipotle powder or smoked paprika if you don’t have liquid smoke on hand. It will change the flavour slightly, but still taste pretty close.
Paprika – Use smoked paprika. Sweet paprika is OK if that is what you have but for the best flavour use smoked paprika.
Other seasonings – Onion powder, garlic powder, and salt finish off the added seasonings.
