Tips for Making the BEST Margaritas
- Chill your glasses ahead of time to help ensure the cocktail remains cool to the very last sip.
- Choose premium liquors for the best results. You don’t need to reach for the top shelf but at least avoid scraping the bottom of the barrel.
- To make sure your cocktail is properly chilled, consider using larger ice cubes. They melt slower and won’t water down your drink as quickly.
- For a stronger blackberry flavour your can muddle blackberries in the cocktail shaker. Make sure you strain the cocktail for a more smooth mouthfeel.
- Enjoy your margarita and don’t forget to drink responsibly. Cheers!
About the Ingredients for Blackberry Margaritas
Tequila – I used Jose Cuervo “Gold” tequila but any blanco or resposado tequilas will work well in a Margarita.
Blackberry liqueur – Also called crème de mûre.
Grand Marnier – Grand Marnier is a good choice here but you could opt for any orange flavoured liqueur.
Sweet and sour mix – You can also make this work well with margarita mix.
Blackberry syrup – I used Torani blackberry syrup, but use any brand you like or make your own blackberry syrup.
